An Afternoon of Biophysics at the UAB
3/25/2026 Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Facultat de Biociècies, Aula Josep Vendrell Barcelona, Spain
“An Afternoon of Biophysics at UAB” invites university students to an informal and engaging introduction to the world of biophysics, ledby young researchers working on biophysics-related projects at the Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedicine and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
Participants will hear firsthand from early-career scientists about how they investigate the structure, dynamics, and function of molecules to understand the complex machinery of life. Through open discussion and real research examples, students will gain insight into what it means to work at the interface of physics, biology, and chemistry in a modern research environment.
This relaxed session is designed to spark curiosity, encourage dialogue, and demonstrate how exciting, collaborative, and accessible acareer in biophysics can be.
