To celebrate Postdoc Appreciation Week 2026, BPS is inviting our postdoc members to submit images that showcase the artistic side of their scientific work through visually compelling images that highlight the beauty and complexity of biophysical research. This opportunity allows participants to share their creativity and scientific perspective with the broader biophysics community during Postdoc Appreciation Week.
Participants may submit one original image, accompanied by a brief caption explaining its scientific and artistic significance, along with the methods used to generate it. Images may be produced using any imaging technique relevant to biophysics.
A panel of judges will review and select the finalists, and who may then be voted on by BPS members throughout Postdoc Appreciation Week. First place will win $250 (US), second place will receive $150 (US), and the third place image will win $100 (US). Winners will be announced Friday, September 25.
We hope this contest provides postdocs with an engaging platform to express their creativity through their research. Submissions will be accepted through Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.
