Strategic Plan

In 2017, the Biophysical Society developed a five-year strategic plan to provide a roadmap for moving the Society into the future.  The strategic plan and its inititatives are supported by the Society's financial planning and budgeting process, which is audited at the end of each fiscal year.

2017 Strategic Planning Summary

The Biophysical Society is a 501c(3) non-profit organization, as such it undergoes an audit each year.

The Society has an independent accounting firm audit its financial records each fiscal year (which runs from January 1-December 31).   The main purposes of the audit include financial transparency, compliance with accounting standards, and reporting any deficiencies in the Society’s structure, policies and procedures, as well as making recommendations to improve them if necessary.  The auditors report their findings to the Finance Committee, which in turn reports to Council. Audits are available upon request by emailing [email protected].
