COVID-19: Science, Stories, and Resources

Member Perspectives

As people around the world are affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Biophysical Society is sharing stories from members about how their lives and research have been impacted.

Biophysical Mechanisms Underlying Blast-Induced Diseases: from Molecular to Clinical Outcomes

This event explores the complex biophysical processes underlying diseases caused by blast-induced traumatic brain injuries. It examines the intricate biomechanics that lead to primary blast TBI. The sequential progression of pathological processes, including neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration, will be presented based on biophysical and biochemical mechanisms. The event will bring together scientists, medical professionals, and affected individuals to discuss interdisciplinary approaches to addressing this issue.
