Announcing a New Article Type for Biophysical Reports: Method Review Biophysical Reports will soon be implementing a new article type, Method Review. This article type is intended to offer researchers an opportunity to present an overview of an existing method of importance in biophysical research. New data/results can be included but are not required. Authors interested in contributing a Method Review are encouraged to submit a pre-submission inquiry. Articles should include the following sections: Abstract, Introduction, Materials, Methods, and Discussion. The Introduction should include a historical perspective on the technique’s development and complementary and alternative methods. Materials (optional for Computational and Theoretical Methods) and Methods sections should provide detailed protocols and a rationale for specific choice of reagents and equipment. The Discussion should provide advice, troubleshooting guidance, a description of expected outcomes, and interesting applications. References should be comprehensive and provide examples of this method in practice.
