Graz, Austria

Science meets Art. Art meets Science. Join us for our Art&Science Day during the international Biophysics Week on 21.03.2024 at the Institute of Molecular Biosciences at the University of Graz, where we present innovative ways to engage with Biophysics and its related research domains.

During this immersive one-day event, you'll encounter interactive hands-on stations and captivating lectures. Chemist and science illustrator, Dr. Verena Resch (https://luminous-lab.com), will explore the realm of "Science illustration and beyond," while science communicator and comic author, Dr. Ariane Pessentheiner (https://biophycom.uni-graz.at), will delve into "Science in comics – a means to tackle complexity." We extend a warm invitation to all, particularly children and young adults, for an afternoon of exploration and discovery. Immerse yourself in the world of comics, microscopy art, and protein modeling, among other activities, or unleash your creativity by crafting a unique biomembrane design.
