Membership Types - The Biophysical Society

Additional Membership Types

Emeritus Membership

Emeritus membership is complimentary to those who are retired from the field, are at least 60 years of age, and have paid regular membership dues to the Society for at least ten consecutive years.

Developing Country Membership

These rates are for members who reside full-time in countries classified as lower and lower-middle income countries by The World Bank.

Regular Members: $50 per year.

Early Career Members: $35 per year.

Student Members: $10 per year, up to 5 years.

*Student rate is applicable for a total of eight years, allotting up to three years of membership as an Undergraduate student and up to five years of membership as a Graduate student.

Being a society member has been very important to me. It allows me opportunities to attend different local and international meetings that inspire me by their wonderful scientific results and ideas.

And free access to the Biophysics Journal has been great! By using both you are tapping into more of the science, getting ideas, getting a feel for what is of broad interest, learning about opportunities – such as the Congressional fellows program, seeing the work of the organization itself and seeing the faces of other members contributing to biophysics.
