Postdoctoral Research Awards

The Intrinsically Disordered Proteins subgroup is happy to offer Post-Doctoral Research Awards at the 2017 IDP Subgroup Symposium!

Postdoctoral researchers working on intrinsically disordered proteins can compete for one of two Postdoctoral Research Awards which will include an honorarium and an opportunity to present a short talk in the 2017 IDP Subgroup Symposium in New Orleans.

To apply:

Please send (to your submitted regular or late-breaking abstract and its BPS abstract control number, along with a statement regarding the significance of the work and why you should be selected to present a talk (350 word limit). The deadline to apply is January 9, 2017 (the same as the late-breaking abstract deadline).

To be eligible:

You must be a postdoctoral researcher at the time of abstract submission. Society rules preclude speakers from talking in multiple sessions, so speakers already programmed in a platform sessions are not eligible. Please include with your application the name and email of your mentor so your eligibility may be confirmed. The abstracts will be reviewed by the symposium chairs and the IDP subgroup council.

The symposium provides an excellent venue to showcase the work of young scientists so if you are a post-doc we encourage you to apply or if you know of post-docs working on IDPs (even if they don’t call them IDPs) please encourage them to apply!
