of the University of Maryland and Society member since 2000 was named, with co-awardee Richard Zare of Stanford University, the winner of the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Basic Sciences.
Michelle M. Monasky
of Ohio State University and Society member since 2006 was the fi rst place winner of the Margaret T. Nishikawara Merit Scholarship Fund in Physiology. Th is award is given to two candidates annually.
D. Thirumalai
