BPS Members Chris Yip and Jonathan Rocheleau, University of Toronto, are in the process of forming a subgroup of the Society focused on bioengineering. In order to become an official subgroup of the Society, they need 100 current (2015) Regular, Emeritus, or Early Career members to sign their petition. If the petition is successful, Yip and Rocheleau will hold an organizational meeting for the subgroup during the Society’s Annual meeting in February, 2016. The Publications Committee of BPS has issued a Call for Nominations for the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Society’s flagship publication Biophysical Journal. Confidential nominations should be sent to the Publications Committee through the Society Office at email@example.com. The deadline for nominations is February 1, 2016.
