This membership/registration option is exclusively available to Students who are pursuing a course of study in biophysics or in an allied scientific field. 2025 Annual Meeting will be held in Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles, California. Purchasing this implies you have read and agreed to the Biophysical Society Code of Conduct Anti-Harassment Policy.
Membership to the Society is open to those who have educational, research, or practical experience or are pursuing a course of study in biophysics or in an allied scientific field.
This Membership/Registration option is available to students who are pursuing a course of study in biophysics or in an allied scientific field.
If submitting an abstract: Student BPS members, with 2025 dues paid, may ONLY sponsor their own abstract.
Registration is required for scientific sessions Saturday, February 15 - Wednesday, February 19.
Please Note: If you are joining to register for the Annual Meeting or to submit an abstract, you must be a member in the year of the meeting. If you are joining to take advantage of reduced publication charges for the Biophysical Journal, or the Biophysicist, or Biophysical Reports, you must be a member at the time of article submission. Membership runs on a calendar year and expires each year on December 31 regardless of when applications are received. Membership fees are non-refundable.
Undergraduate and graduate students* who are pursuing a course of study in biophysics or in an allied scientific field.
You will need: A copy of your most recent institutional Student ID and PI’s signature. Your PI’s signature can be written on the copy of the Student ID and submitted as one document, or you may upload a brief letter from your PI verifying your student status in your institution. Your academic advisor, dean, or head of department is acceptable in the absence of your PI.
Please Note: *Student rate is applicable for a total of eight years, allotting up to three years of membership as an Undergraduate student and up to five years of membership as a Graduate student.
