Center for Membrane Protein Research, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center


The Center for Membrane Protein Research is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of membrane transport proteins, studying how they perform their functions in health and in disease, from the atomic level to medical applications. Because of the wide variety of state-of-the-art technologies that they employ and the collaborative nature of center members, they are exceptionally positioned to provide students with a multi-disciplinary training in molecular biophysics, as well as to transfer cutting edge research knowledge to the medical field.
