Dr. Roger Kornberg Lecture - Friday, December 07, 2007
The 7,800-member Biophysical Society and the International Biophysics Congress will host Roger Kornberg at a Joint Meeting in Long Beach, California, February 2-6, 2008. Kornberg, a professor at the Stanford School of Medicine, won The Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2006 "for his studies of the molecular basis of eukaryotic transcription." read more ...

BPS Awards Mario Bustamante Student Visiting Travel Grant - Tuesday, May 15, 2007
The Biophysical Society is pleased to announce that Mario Bustamante, a graduate student at the University of Chile, has been selected to receive an International Visiting Graduate Student Travel Award. The award will cover travel expenses associated with Bustamante’s three-month visit to Dr. Paul Allen’s laboratory at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. BPS Announces 2007 Student Research Achievement Winners - Monday, May 14, 2007
The 8,000-member Biophysical Society is pleased to announce the 2007 Student Research Achievement Award Winners. Sixty-nine society student members participated in this competitive event held during the Society’s 51st Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, March 3-7, 2007.
