The Biophysical Society, through its Public Affairs Committee (PAC) and Government Affairs Committee (GAC), keeps Society members current on relevant legislation and science policy issues. Through its membership in FASEB, the Society has participated in advocating for funding support of NIH, NSF, DOE, and other relevant agencies. As a founding member of the Bridging the Sciences Coalition, the Society has taken the initiative in advocating for increased funding at the interface between the life sciences and physical sciences.
