The Biophysical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional organization, supported by program fees, contributions from individuals, and organizations. Its Executive Board is charged with approval of the annual budget and annual audit. A Finance Committee, chaired by the Society Treasurer, who is also a member of the Executive Board, oversees the annual audit, prepares the annual budget and monitors the Society's reserve funds.
