Two chances to win an iPad at the Annual Meeting!

How, you ask?

  • Visit exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall and receive entry tickets for exciting raffle prizes. Drop those tickets off in the basket at the Society Booth by Tuesday, February 5 at 3:00 pm. The more exhibitors you visit, the more chances you’ll have to win! The winner of the grand prize, an Apple iPad 2, will be announced on Tuesday at 5 pm in the Exhibit Hall.
  • Attend the Meet the Speakers/Meet the Editors event in the Exhibit Hall on Wednesday February 6, 10:30 am–12:30 pm. Drop your raffle ticket (included with your badge) in the basket at the event. The winner will be chosen at 12:30 pm and will receive an Apple iPad mini.Take advantage of this opportunity to meet speakers and editors that are leaders in their field!
Biomolecular Discovery Dome

The Public Affairs Committee is pleased to be sponsoring the Biomolecular Discovery Dome for the second year. The Dome will be located in the Exhibit Hall and will be showing movies on icosahedral viruses, the ribosome and HIV replication throughout the week in stereo. Don’t miss this exciting audio-visual immersion experience!

Benjamin Franklin and Biophysics

Read about the impact Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin had on Biophysics. Da-Neng Wang and Lukas Tamm outline Franklin’s contributions in the Biophysical Review, “Benjamin Franklin, Philadelphia’s favorite son, was a membrane biophysicist” in last month’s issue of Biophysical Journal.
