Ancillary Meetings Criteria

The Society allows groups of members, organized along scientific or geographic boundaries, to hold an ancillary meeting during the Annual Meeting. If approved by the Society, groups holding ancillary meetings will be given space in the convention center for their events.

Criteria for holding an Ancillary Meeting
2014 Ancillary Meeting Proposal Deadline: passed

Please note that ancillary meetings may not be scheduled in conflict with scientific sessions at the Biophysical Society Annual Meeting.

Requests for meeting space must be submitted in writing to the Biophysical Society office no later than Monday, September 30, 2013.

Your request must include the following:
  • A description of the meeting and its purpose
  • Estimated attendance
  • Desired room setup
  • A statement of how the meeting, if approved, should be announced in the Program

The Biophysical Society is a scientific and international organization, and each request will be evaluated on these two criteria.

If approved, the Society will provide contacts for food and beverage as well as audio visual needs at the Convention Center.

Please submit proposals to the Society Office at meetings@biophysics.org.
